Each role allows for different capabilities in the system, and many users will have more than one role assigned to them. The roles and their capabilities are as follows:

Agronomist
An Agronomist user can create/view/update Activity Templates and Work Orders in Conservis. An Agronomist can also run any Field Activity Report within the Production Module (except the FSA report). Agronomists can view/create/update setup for Crops, fields, and inputs only. The image below shows an agronomist view of the platform.

Budget Admin

This role is for Planning and Financials users or Budget users only. A Budget Admin is in charge of the Budgeting, Planning, Financials, and Insights modules of Conservis. A Budget Admin can view, create, and delete any element within the Budgeting or Planning and Financials modules. They are able to access Insights as well. They aren't able to view or access any of the other modules (Purchasing, Production, Harvest). This is the only role that can lock Annual Budgets besides Grower Admin.

The views for Budget Admins at operations using the Budgeting module include Budgeting and Insights

The views for Budget Admins at operations that use Planning and Financials modules include Planning, Financials, and Insights

Budget User

This role is for Planning and Financials users or Budget users only. A Budget user is allowed to work with Budgets or Plans and view Insights, but cannot lock budgets. Their views match those of Budget Admins.

Contractor
This role does not have access to the farm application, typically tied to an inputs supplier. A Contractor can only make certain tickets on a mobile device. They can view and submit tickets on a Work Order or create Activity Tickets from scratch on a mobile device. A user who has the Contractor role will also need to have the Handheld User role (see below) in order to log into the Conservis Apps. This user will only see work order tasks assigned to them.

Grower Admin
This user has the highest access to the system. A Grower Admin can view, create, edit, and delete anything within all modules in Conservis, including farm settings. They can add, modify, and delete records, set passwords, and change application settings. It is a good idea to limit the number of individuals who have a Grower Admin role. When setting up this role, only pair with the Handheld user role. There is no need to select any additional roles as the Grower Admin can already access the full system.

Grower Auditor

A Grower Auditor can view tickets and run reports but cannot create, edit, or delete records. They will have viewing access to the Fields, Purchasing, Production, and Harvest modules (or the subset of these included in the Conservis platform for this operation).

Here's an example of what a Grower Auditor can view

Grower Editor

A Grower Editor can create, edit, and delete records. This user can manage tickets and run reports but unlike the grower Admin, cannot change setup data. This user can access Fields, Purchasing, Harvest, and Integration tabs.

Grower Manager

A Grower Manager can view and create Activity Templates, Plans, and run reports. They can also view/create/update in the purchasing and production modules. Grower Managers can view/create Harvest ticket and reports, view Insights, and view and create some setup items such as crops, fields, equipment. This role cannot add users. When Grower Manager is selected as a role, no other roles can be selected. Handheld user permissions are automatically included.

Grower User

A Grower User can create new tickets, view existing tickets, and run reports, but they can’t edit or delete records or change setup data. This user can also view reports.

Handheld User

A Handheld User is granted access to mobile applications for data collection. They do not have access to the farm office application unless additional user roles are selected.

Truck Driver

This role allows you to add a user as a driver but does not give them access to the system. If only truck driver is selected, the user's name will appear in Harvest as an option but the user will not have access to the system. When paired with the handheld user role, the Truck Driver will have handheld user permissions and will also appear as a truck driver in the dropdown for harvest transport tickets.

These additional roles are for perm crop only:
