We've made several enhancements to make it easier to prepare for the new crop year:
Use last year's actual prices as this year's defaults
Simplified Fields setup page
"Ignore" non-issues in the new data quality tools
Crop & Acre Update Tool improvements
Copy PO receipt costs as your default costs
Here's a way to easily give yourself better input cost prices for budgeting. If you use Purchasing, you can now use 2023's actual PO receipt costs as your starting point for default costs for 2024. On the Inputs page, go to bulk editing of default costs:
Then select Use PO Receipt Cost:
After that you may also use the % tool to adjust all prices up or down. And you can edit individual prices as well.
Field Setup Page has been simplified
Conservis has several ways to bulk update fields for the new year. But when you're editing this page directly it's now easier to work with. We've removed unused attributes from the Fields page. And when you add a crop, the date range intelligently auto fills:
Ignore Non-issues in Data Quality tools
In the Cost Anomaly and Crop & Acre Update tools, you can now mark an issue to be ignored if its not really a problem (such as an expensive input or one which actually has no cost). The easiest way to access these tools is through the Needs Attention pane on the Conservis dashboard. To ignore an item, click its Ignore button. That hides the issue, and it then won't be counted as an issue on the dashboard:
A yellow badge reminds you how many items you've ignored. If you want to see Ignored items, use the filter to Show it. You can Un-Ignore the ignored item at any time:
The Crop & Acre Update Tool also has a similar Ignore feature.
Crop & Acre Update Tool improvements
In addition to the Ignore feature, the Crop & Acre Update tool has several improvements:
View Tickets only shows when there are tickets:
When editing crop on tickets, you can select No Crop for activities that apply to multiple crops on the field :
When adding a crop manually or with the bulk edit, date range is auto-filled (intelligently):
