When you log into the system, the Dashboard is the first thing you will see. If at any time you want to return to this home screen you can also press the Conservis logo in the upper left corner.
This Dashboard is truly yours, as it’s specific to your username. You can configure it to your liking and it can differ from anyone else’s in your operation.
There are different tiles, called widgets, that you can add and remove as the season changes and you want to see key information quickly. Here's a quick overview of what is available to place on your dashboard.
The Fields Widget
One of the first things you’ll notice is the large, square map. This is the Fields Widget, populated with shapefiles of your fields, color-coded by Crop. You can define field shapes on the Fields tab or upload shapefiles one at a time using our shapefile tool; if you have many to add, contact Customer Success.
There are many things you can do to customize the Fields Widget:
Drag the bottom right corner to resize the widget.
Click on the arrows next to the word Crops in the upper right corner. This shows the completion status of different activities as operators submit tickets.
Tip: Choose Crop Year while Crops is selected, to toggle assignments visually between years. This can be very helpful when assessing agronomy needs.
On most other views, you can filter by Crop Type.
Click on the arrows until you arrive at Work Orders. You can choose from specific work orders in the dropdown below.
Status colors mean:
Additional Widgets
To further customize the Dashboard you also have the option to add Widgets. Along the top of your dashboard, you will see plus and minus symbols. This allows you to add and delete Widgets.
Clicking the plus button will allow you to choose from a list of Widgets. Simply drag and drop from this screen to add.
Favorite Reports
Possibly the most important widget, this allows you to get to your favorite reports quickly and easily. When generating any report in the system, simply hit the “Favorite Report” button to add it to this Widget.
Cost Per Acre Widget
Provides total Cost per Acre by crop. (Note: these are direct costs)
Source is the Field Activity Summary Report
Tip: For input prices, the system first looks at POs, then Default Cost if there are none entered.
Can be filtered by farm, using the arrows in the top right corner.
Choose Field Details to see the breakdown. To see a deeper level, go to the Field Activity Summary Report.
Provides Cost per Acre by field and Crop Type as activities are completed and updated.
Harvest Widget
Shows how much of each crop has been harvested by percentage.
Totals are based on whether fields are listed as “Complete” according to the last ticket in that field.
Tip: You can also list a field as complete by editing that field, by going to HARVEST > SETUP > Fields, and clicking Complete by that crop.
Hover over the commodity graph bar to see how many total acres have been harvested.
Press the details tab to see the harvest status of each field or crop.
Provides progress as harvest activities are completed and updated.
Planting Widget
Shows how much of each crop has been planted by percentage.
Provides total planting percent based off of completed planting tickets.
Hover over the individual commodity to see how many total acres have been planted.
Press the Details tab to see the planting status of each field or crop.
Provides real-time progress of planting activities at a glance.
Grain Storage Widget
Provides an overview of total grain stored by bin site.
Hover over the Bin icon to see total bushels stored by commodity.
For a more detailed view of this information (including inventory by individual bin), go to the Bin Inventory Summary Report.
Tip: Many growers will add more than one Grain Storage Widget, each kept at a specific bin site. When you line them up side by side, you can get a virtual view of all your bins together.
Yield Widget
Like the Harvest Widget, this shows percentage harvested along with summary details of bushels per acre and average moisture.
Like most widgets, this can be broken down by farm using the blue arrows.
Yield Details view provides a list by field that is broken down by crop yield per acre, adjusted yield per acre, and average moisture.
Settled Contracts Widget
Provides summary of percentage bushels settled for all contracts.
Can be broken down by customer.
Color-coded by crop. Hover over the graph to see crop breakdown.
