To ensure your planting activity data comes into Conservis smoothly from John Deere or Climate follow these steps before planting season:

  1. Check your inputs (products) in John Deere Operations Center or Climate Fieldview. Are they all there? Add any new ones you will be using this year.

Tip: It is great business practice to reconcile your Input names with purchasing lists for better data quality and alignment. Also, consider adding your input costs in Conservis Purchase Orders or Setup at this time.

  2. Train your operators to pick the products from the list, not enter in new products on the monitor. This avoids duplicate and inconsistent data, and having to manually match those entries later in Conservis.

  3. In Conservis, make sure all fields have the right crop for the upcoming crop year.

  4. In Conservis, add any tractors, sprayers or combines that are new for the upcoming crop year to your Equipment list (Production - Setup) so they're available for matching.

  5. Establish a plan for how you will capture any info you want that doesn’t come through John Deere or Climate, such as tillage activities, when using Climate. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you need help.

  6. Once you start planting, monitor Conservis for any matches you need to make, or for other machine integration issues. The red number on the Integrations menu will alert you to issues. If you are using John Deere and have Auto Setup on in Conservis, any new Ops Center inputs will show in Auto Setup, and you can complete creation there.

Climate users only - contact your Customer Success Manager for help with proper setup if you:

    1. Also use John Deere (example: using Climate for Precision Planting and John Deere for all else)

      or

    2. Apply starter fertilizer in the same pass with planting.
